[heer-oh]
1. Someone of distinguished courage or ability, admired for hisbrave deeds and noble qualities
2. a person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities orhas performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal: He was a local hero when he saved the drowning child.
Every day, men and women across the world are American Heroes. They wake up, put on a uniform, and serve us. Without fail, without asking for more. They serve, protect, save, and don’t think twice when they are called upon to give.
The First Responder Remembrance Memorial is a way to ensure that these brave Heroes know that we remember them.
Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, the Military. All first responders. All Heroes. All honored with this project.
We need your help to complete this memorial by 9/11/11, to honor the South Carolina Heroes who have given everything they have since that day.
